1. Who We Are
CoveredOps is shop-management software for window-tinting businesses (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it is handled when you use app.coveredops.com or the CoveredOps mobile app.
2. What We Collect
Early-access requests: your name, email, shop name, and any optional location, team-size, current-tools, or workflow-problem details you submit. We may also store campaign labels and the page paths that brought you to the form, with query strings removed. The early-access system does not retain a raw IP address or user-agent string. Account information: your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider). Shop data you enter: your business details, pricing, films, schedule, and records about your customers and their vehicles, quotes, jobs, documents, and payments-received notes. Vehicle information: details including the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), year, make, and model (see section 6). Standard security logs may be processed briefly to protect the service.
3. Demo Mode
The “Try the Demo Shop” mode runs entirely in your browser. Demo data is stored in your browser’s local storage, never sent to our servers, and is deleted when you reset the demo or clear your browser data.
4. How We Use Information
We use early-access details to evaluate and respond to your request and understand which shop workflows need help. We use account and shop information to operate the Service, keep it secure, support you, and improve how it works. We do not sell your information, use your shop’s data for advertising, or use it to compete with your business.
5. Your Customers’ Information
Records you keep about your own customers are processed on your behalf and under your instructions, solely to provide the Service to you. If someone wants to know what a shop has recorded about them, they should contact that shop directly — the shop controls those records.
6. Vehicle Information (VIN)
To power quotes, jobs, and warranty documents, the Service stores vehicle details you enter, which may include the VIN, year, make, model, and related notes. This is part of your shop data: it is processed on your behalf, under your control, and is subject to the same protections, sharing limits, and deletion rights as the rest of your shop data.
7. Where Data Lives
The website and early-access endpoint run on Vercel. Early-access requests are stored in an access-limited Google Sheet owned by CoveredOps. The CoveredOps app also uses Supabase for database, authentication, and file storage. These providers process data using encrypted connections.
8. Sharing
We share data only with the service providers named above (Google, Vercel, Supabase, and Resend) as needed to run the site, early-access process, and Service, or when required by law. We never sell personal information.
9. Cookies and Local Storage
We use local storage and similar mechanisms for sign-in sessions, your theme preference, and demo-mode data. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
10. Your Privacy Rights (including California — CCPA/CPRA)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to request a copy of it, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, email hello@coveredops.com. (Records a shop keeps about its own customers are controlled by that shop — direct those requests to the shop.)
11. Retention and Deletion
We retain an early-access request until the earliest of: 24 months after submission; 30 days after we mark the conversation closed; or fulfillment of a verified deletion request. Email hello@coveredops.com to request access or deletion; we verify the request proportionately and aim to complete it within 30 days. Account and shop data is kept while the account is active and deleted after a reasonable export window when the account closes or a valid request is completed.
12. Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
13. Changes
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.

Early-access request emails
We use Resend to send a receipt to the email address you submit and an internal notification so we can review your request. Resend processes the recipient address and message content for this purpose. A receipt does not grant early access.
