Terms of Service

1. Agreement
CoveredOps is shop-management software for window-tinting and automotive-restyling businesses (“CoveredOps,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using app.coveredops.com (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business to these Terms.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for safeguarding your credentials, and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
3. Your Data
Your shop’s business data — customers, vehicles, quotes, jobs, documents, and settings — belongs to you. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, back up, and display that data in order to provide the Service. We do not sell your data and we do not use it to compete with you.
4. Your Customers’ Information
You are responsible for collecting and using your own customers’ information lawfully, including any consents or notices required where you operate. When you store customer information in the Service, you instruct us to process it on your behalf to provide the Service.
5. Acceptable Use
Do not use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, send spam, probe or disrupt our infrastructure, access another shop’s data, or reverse engineer the software. We may suspend accounts that put the Service or other customers at risk.
6. Documents Are Tools, Not Legal Advice
The Service generates business documents — authorizations, invoices, receipts, and warranty summaries — from templates and from text you configure. These are tools, not legal advice. You are responsible for the legal sufficiency of your documents and for compliance with the laws that apply to your business, including window-tint regulations in your jurisdiction. Shop workmanship warranties are made by you, not by CoveredOps, and manufacturer warranties remain subject to the manufacturer’s own terms and processes.
7. Availability and Changes
The Service is in active development. Features may change, be added, or be removed, and availability is not guaranteed. During early access we do not promise a specific service level.
8. Plans, Fees, and Billing
The Service is offered as a per-shop subscription. Current plans and fees are shown when you sign up or in your plan settings. New accounts may start a free trial; a payment method may be required to begin, and you are not charged during the trial. Subscriptions are billed in advance and renew automatically until cancelled — you may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current paid period. Founding-shop rates, where offered, remain locked only while your subscription stays continuously active. Certain usage-based features (such as text messaging and business-phone usage) may be billed separately as pass-through charges, disclosed before you enable them. Payments are processed by Stripe. Fees are stated in U.S. dollars and are non-refundable except as expressly stated or required by law.
9. Intellectual Property
We own the Service, including its software, design, and the CoveredOps branding. These Terms do not transfer any of that ownership to you. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them without obligation to you.
10. Service Providers
We rely on a small set of providers to run the Service: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Vercel (hosting), and Stripe (payment processing). They process your data only as needed to provide the Service.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, CoveredOps will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose (or $100 if you have paid nothing).
13. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On request at account closure, we will provide a reasonable window to export your shop’s data before deletion.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hawaii.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date, and continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
